Job Summary
Creekside Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations and upkeep of our skilled nursing and post-acute care facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Assist with general building maintenance and repairs
- Perform routine inspections of facility equipment and systems
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Support preventative maintenance programs
- Maintain grounds, walkways, and common areas
- Assist with painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards
- Help set up and move furniture or equipment for events and resident needs
- Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or facility experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Reliable attendance and positive teamwork attitude
- Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing settings is a plus
